Compass Group and Ballast Nedam Development sign an agreement for Club Nomad in the Rotterdam Building
Club Nomad will open its doors in June in the Rotterdam Building on Aert van Nesstraat / Lijnbaan
In June, Club Nomad, a Food & Beverage concept from Compass Group, will open its doors to employees and visitors of the Rotterdam Building and to the public. Club Nomad as the beating heart and social center with food and drinks as the connecting factor. This is where the new “nomadic worker”, the student and the “local” come to meet each other and enjoy tasty, healthy food and drinks. You've also come to the right place for a drink or an event. It is nice to relax on the terrace in the sun.
Club Nomad offers sufficient choice for all (eating) habits, lifestyles and every budget. Guests can put together their own breakfast, lunch or dinner or opt for to go. The dishes are inspired by different food cultures that come together in our Dutch cuisine. The range has been carefully compiled with a lot of attention to people & the environment and minimizing food waste.
Working in 2023
In recent years we have experienced how digitalization has rapidly become commonplace for hybrid studying and working. The working target group of the future, Millennials and Generation Z, have rapidly adopted this hybrid lifestyle. These “nomadic workers” are constantly on the move, both online and offline, at home and at work.
This development requires a completely new interpretation of office concepts. The office of the future as a meeting place that stimulates social interaction and creativity. Ballast Nedam Development and Compass Group have joined forces for this. Rotterdam Building is furnished with a beautiful Food & Beverage concept, Club Nomad. The result: an open community where people can work, study, meet and relax all day long.
Compass will also provide the full hospitality service including reception service in the Rotterdam Building.
Office of the future right in the heart of Rotterdam
Rotterdam Building is an iconic office building designed in the 1970s by the architect Kraaijvanger. The building has undergone a complete sustainable metamorphosis into a flexible and versatile co-working and office space. The 14-storey building has an area of 22,000 m² and a large indoor parking garage. The renovated office building includes Club Nomad, event spaces, meeting center, large terraces and balconies. These spaces, where hospitality is extra important, were designed by the famous American agency Gensler. Rotterdam Building is located in the connection between Coolsingel and Lijnbaan in the heart of Rotterdam. The location is dynamic, lively and bursting with energy.
Ballast Nedam Development, the developer of Rotterdam Building, opened the new head office in its own Rotterdam Building in January 2023. It is an example of a new generation of buildings with social significance for the city and gives a completely new interpretation to office concepts. The building has space available for medium-sized corporates, scale-ups, start-ups, co-working and flexible memberships for individual workplaces.
